“What’s left for humans to do?” - Wrong question. AI has made building nearly free, especially in the digital space. That makes wanting the scarce thing… because the costs of building have gone to zero.
Think about what used to stand between you and your dream:
You couldn’t code
You couldn’t design
You couldn’t afford a team
You didn’t have the time
You didn’t know where to start
Every one of those is solved, or close to it. So the excuses are gone. For a lot of people that’s terrifying, because the excuses were a really comfortable excuse… in some ways, I feel like I need to plead with people to get on-board…maybe it’s because I care?
AI Has No Dreams!!
AI can:
Write the code
Draft the plan
Build the site
Run the ops
But AI has never once woken up at 3am needing something to exist. It doesn’t ache or long for anything, and it has no vision of a world that isn’t here yet… ai must be prompted (for now)…
You are the prompt.
Without a human dream behind them, the machines just remix what already exists, faster and cheaper, forever. That’s where the slop comes from. Too much AI doesn’t cause it. Too little human intention does.
We outsource our thinking, then our wanting
We consume infinite content and create nothing
We ask AI what we should build instead of telling it what we will build
We shrink our ambitions to fit what’s “realistic,” right when realistic stopped meaning anything
Go. Build the thing...
You know the one.
It’s the business, the book, the race team, the nonprofit, the weird little project you’ve been “getting around to” for six years… I can and I am with ai.
Dream bigger, go build it.
That’s the job now.
Best,
ps
