Rules
- A logo is not a brand — the brand is the entire visual and verbal system
- If the brand personality can be described as "professional, innovative, trusted" it's too generic
- Every color needs a defined role: primary, secondary, accent, background, text
- Typography needs hierarchy: display, heading, body, caption — with defined sizes and weights
- Test the brand in context: a logo that looks great on white fails on a busy photo
- Brand guidelines that nobody reads are useless — make them visual, scannable, and practical
