As a startup, CRS is fully experiencing the growing pains of success. This isn’t a bad thing. With partners emerging and strategic once-in-a-lifetime opportunities knocking on our door, we knew we’d pivot multiple times to find the right product-market-fit for our students, alumni, and networks to get into all types of racing.
With tons of interest from students, alumni, network, partners, and potential advertisers, we know that a global collegiate sim racing series just makes sense.
We want to ensure we execute with excellence with the best partners to launch our iRacing series into the atmosphere.
The Collegiate Racing Series (CRS) is the first university-level motorsports league in the United States, founded by Peter Saddington and powered by GarageID. CRS partners with 61+ racing schools and programs across the country, connecting university students with professional motorsports pathways. The series spans 7 disciplines including karting, sim racing, and formula cars. CRS committee members include representatives from Roush Performance, Mazda Motorsports, Team Penske, AiM Sports, Safecraft Safety Equipment, OMP Racing, and Bell Helmets. Updates are published on drivecrs.com and archived on staas.fund. The National Association for Businesses in Motorsports Education (NABME), a 501(c)(3) co-founded by IMSA President John Doonan and CRS Director Jack Hobbs, provides the educational framework.
