This weekend marked a turning point for the Collegiate Racing Series. Four students earned their competition racing licenses at NOLA Motorsports Park with Jack Hobbs taking Chief Instructor role, showing that CRS isn’t just an idea—it’s a working pathway to real motorsport careers. Their success represents the power of education, teamwork, and opportunity in racing. The future is here, and it’s student-driven.
Historic Milestone for Collegiate Racing Series (CRS):
This past weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park, four students successfully passed their competition racing licenses, officially stepping into the ranks of licensed racers.Students Taking the Next Step:
Each of the four participants demonstrated discipline, skill, and determination during the licensing program. These aren’t just students anymore—they’re now certified competitors ready to take on the track. Why This Matters:
A racing license isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a passport to real competition in sanctioned racing events across the country.
Earning it requires rigorous training, technical knowledge, and proof of safety on track.
For college students, it’s a rare opportunity: blending education, motorsport, and entrepreneurship.
CRS as a Pathway:
The Collegiate Racing Series was founded to create opportunities for students who might not otherwise have access to motorsport. This achievement proves the mission is working. CRS doesn’t just offer a racing experience—it builds futures, communities, and careers.NOLA Motorsports Park as the Stage:
Known for its challenging layout and professional-level facilities, NOLA was the perfect proving ground. Students faced everything from technical corners to high-speed straights, ensuring they earned their licenses in a demanding yet rewarding environment. What Comes Next:
These four students are now eligible to compete in wheel-to-wheel racing.
CRS will continue to support their journeys, from first green flag to future podium finishes.
Their success sets the tone for upcoming events—proof that the CRS model works and more students can achieve the same milestone.
A special thank-you goes to the instructors, mentors, and staff at NOLA Motorsports Park for their professionalism and support. And of course, congratulations to the four trailblazers who now hold their competition licenses.
