How Will We Place Between Members and Non-Members?
1. Position Leaderboards - Member + Non-Member
Member Leaderboard: Only members, sorted by split finishing position.
Non-Member Leaderboard: Same, only non-members.
2. Lap Time Leaderboards - Member + Non-Member
Rank all drivers based on fastest lap time across all splits.
Each driver is tagged as either M (Member) or NM (Non-Member).
3. Resolve Split Discrepancies
With multiple splits, we will use the fastest lap times to normalize and create a true master ranking.
This ensures that if Non-Members across 3 splits all place P1, then the fastest laps will determine P1, P2, P3.
This also avoids unfairness where Split A might have stronger competition than Split C. iRacing naturally places drivers based on IR, so we expect many of our Non-Members to have on average higher IR than our Members. This should place most experienced drivers together in a single split.
4. Award Podiums and Points
Award points or trophies within their own category (e.g. Top 3 Members, Top 3 Non-Members).
